While it is not a requirement for most affiliate manager positions, I think it should be.

How better to understand and support partners with the many threats and challenges, who with partner come?

You noticed there may be no mention of the application to affiliate programs, links, etc. set up. This is because they offer some value proposition and build an audience before you can make money.
